Dustin R. Baker

One of the newest additions to Bush Rudnicki Shelton, P.C. is Dustin Baker, who joined the firm in 2019.  He obtained his Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law where he received the Merit Scholar Award graduating with honors.  While attending law school, Mr. Baker served as a member of the Second Amendment Society and served as a managing member of the Estate Planning Clinic at OKCU.

 

Mr. Baker was an intern at one of the most distinguished Employment Law Firms in the State of Oklahoma – Hammons, Gowens, and Hurst, where he assisted with a variety of tasks, including drafting pleadings, case assessment and management, and leading discovery efforts for lead attorneys. He also interned with the Office of the General Counsel for Oklahoma City University where he assisted attorneys with a wide variety of legal claims and drafted the current Service/Assistance Animal policies for on campus housing at OKCU. 

 

Mr. Baker is also a NCAA All-American Discus thrower as well as an NCAA Academic All-American.  Mr. Baker was the first Male Track and Field athlete in Hardin-Simmons University’s history to achieve such a distinguishable honor.

Currently, Mr. Baker’s primary areas of practice are:

  • Insurance Defense;

  • Mechanic’s and Materialmen’s liens (residential and commercial);

  • Contract Disputes;

  • Contract Drafting;

  • Estate Planning; and

  • Employment Law matters.
