Fred W. Davis
The Honorable Fred W. Davis senior judge (retired) and of Counsel to the firm graduated from Baylor University School of Law and began an enviable career in jurisprudence. He joined the Bush Law Firm in 2009 after serving 20 years as Judge of the 17th District Court of Tarrant County to which he was elected in 1988.
Judge Davis was elected by his fellow judges to serve one year as the Local Administrative Judge of Tarrant County Judiciary in 1995 and in 2008 he was the recipient of the Tarrant County Bar Association’s Silver Gavel Award. This award is given to the jurist who demonstrates fairness in his rulings, wisdom, intelligence, reasonableness, courtesy, patience and humor to the judiciary, as well as knowledge and respect of the law.

Judge Davis practiced law in Arlington, Texas for 26 years before being elected to the bench. He does not consider himself retired but rather pursuing a new career. In addition to assisting the attorneys at Bush Rudnicki Shelton, he plans on pursuing a mediation and arbitration practice as well as continuing trial work as a Chapter 151 Special Judge.​
